Teen Counseling

My role as a teen and parent advocate is to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for teens and families to sort through and express their thoughts and feelings, and work towards an open, respectful relationship. Teenagers often share with me a need to feel understood and valued, and for their opinions and individual interests to matter to those they care about, like their friends, parents, and romantic partners. I also help teens to identify and bolster their character strengths, and navigate day-to-day challenges that arise, such as difficult social interactions with peers, coping with painful emotions, or test/academic anxiety. Below are additional examples of services I provide to teens and their parents:

  • Evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), eating disorders, interpersonal difficulties and coping with trauma
  • Enhance teen-parent communication, understanding, and healthy boundaries
  • Improve time management, motivation, organization, and active problem-solving skills
  • Boost emotional wellness and build positive coping tools to manage emotions
